Artistic Gymnastics

Artistic Gymnastics for both Men and Women

Once a Gymnast ... Always a Gymnast

The WAG competitive program is based on the National Levels 1-10 Program. Gymnasts are selected for this program based on ability and the desire to train longer hours. The gymnasts progressively train more weekly hours as they pass to higher levels.

As well as training on the 4 WAG apparatus of Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor & 6 MAG apparatus which excludes Beam and adds Pommel, Rings and Parallel Bars, there is an equally important emphasis on training for strength and flexibility.

An intrinsic part of the WAG/MAG program is assessment. Regional competitions offer gymnasts the chance to celebrate their achievements with other central Queensland gymnasts, and provide the motivation to learn and perfect new skills.
